Paragon Software Group celebrates the 15th anniversary of Hard Disk Manager

All-in-One Tool Kit Simplifies Backup & Disaster Recovery, Imaging, Virtualization and Disk Management Operations — Per-seat and Technicians Licenses Available

Hard Disk Manager Technician License (TL) is the perfect software for companies with support teams that are maintaining a large number of systems in the field, such as medical or other high-tech equipment manufacturers, or large organizations with a highly distributed environment, e.g. financial institutions or large restaurant chains. Many customers combine Tech Licenses with per-seat and volume licenses for maximum license coverage and flexibility.

Hard Disk Manager Technician License comes in 4 different editions, tailored to the needs of companies of different sizes and environments: Basic, Standard, Premium, and Enterprise.

Customer Testimonials:

“Paragon was the only backup and disaster recovery software vendor offering the most comprehensive software solution and knowledgeable staff. Hard Disk Manager did everything I needed it to do, providing the best value,” said Ben Spain, IT manager for Industrial Molds.

“I searched for nine months for software that enabled me to migrate my customers’ servers to new drives or all new hardware without hassle and without any risk of data loss,” said David Ward, president of Guardian I.T. Services. “I narrowed it down to two products: one, at nearly $1,000 per server, was pretty much cost-prohibitive; the second, Paragon Hard Disk Manager fit the bill perfectly. Not only does it offer twice the features at half the cost as the other option, but it also comes as a Technician License, which brings the per-server cost down even more. On a server restore or migration, no other software comes close in restore time, reliability and ease-of-use. I recommend HDM TL for any company with field technical support.”

Paragon Software’s new portal prescribes a cure for consumer device data exchange headaches

The Largest Selection of Cross-platform Tools for Users of Incompatible Consumer Electronics on Android, Windows, Mac OS X, Linux

Paragon Software is happy to invite every user to visit a new portal — a very special place hosting a comprehensive selection of essential free or inexpensive tools for users of multiple devices seeking to solve incompatibility issues on consumer electronics.

Users of PCs, smartphones, audio and video equipment, TV sets, DVD players, digital cameras, and camcorders increasingly need to interchange data content between various incompatible systems. To solve the interoperability issue, Paragon Software has developed eight essential tools (seven drivers and a converter) to guarantee full high-performance read/write access to volumes of the most popular file systems (NTFS, HFS+, Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, etc.) under various platforms (Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.) where these file systems normally are not supported.

Paragon Software’s cross-platform tools are based on the company’s exclusive Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology and enable any device to communicate and share files regardless of its operating system. Beyond access, the tools provide the highest data throughput speeds possible — equivalent to, or exceeding, native performance.

In an engaging, interactive way, the new portal invites you to pick two platforms. The portal then suggests the right software to solve the incompatibility issue and gives the user an opportunity to download it. TRY now!

Paragon Software Group’s Deployment Manager selected by Insight Investments for mass deployment of laptops

Disk Imaging Software Saves Time and Money by Providing Quick, Cost-Effective and Easy-to-Manage Multicast Imaging

Paragon Software Group’s Deployment Manager was selected by Insight Investments, LLC, system integrators based in California, as a reliable and scalable software to simplify the imaging process of tens of thousands of laptops for use in educational institutions across the country.

“About 70 percent of our business is with K-12 school districts as well as universities,” said Jay Johnson, vice president of operations at Insight Investments. “Each district has 10 to 45 schools. They come to us to purchase refurbished laptops in bulk. The schools send us a copy of the image they want duplicated onto their machines; a typical image includes the operating system, applications and 50 to 60 gigabytes of data. Before implementing Paragon’s Deployment Manager, the process was tedious requiring the removal of each laptop’s hard drive for imaging; now we can reimage the machines without disassembling them and connecting the hard drive to a duplicator.”

Paragon Software Group’s Hard Disk Manager chosen by Saskatchewan Blue Cross

All-in-One Backup, Recovery and Imaging Software with Instant Restore from a Virtual Copy

Saskatchewan Blue Cross has selected Paragon’s Hard Disk Manager (HDM) Technician License for an all-in-one backup, recovery and imaging software with instant recovery to a virtual machine, from a copy of the physical system.

Saskatchewan Blue Cross senior network analyst, Janice Matus, recently purchased and installed IBM’s Pureflex System with SAN storage and needed to find an all-in-one software package that included backup, recovery and disk maintenance for the new virtual environment.

“We were replacing our outdated disk partitioning and wiping tool and came across Paragon’s Hard Disk Manager,” said Matus. “A combination of our need to replace outdated software and the fact that our P2V software did not support SSD-drive migration, made it an easy decision. One of the selling features was that it enables a restoration from a virtual image backup to a new physical drive (V2P).”

“Hard Disk Manager was designed as the Swiss-Army knife of disk utilities. We know that IT system administrators are wrestling daily with critical tasks such as system recovery, imaging, migration, virtualization, disk partitioning and secure wiping,” said Daniel Eickhoff, Director of Channel Sales for Paragon Software Group. “The Hard Disk Manager Tech License gives them a tool that they can rely on to get the job done.”

Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 3.0 – one-step migration to solid-state drives

Migrate an installed Windows system, even Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012, to a GPT/uEFI configuration on a solid-state drive without interrupting the use of applications or having to restart the system

Paragon Software Group (PSG) releases Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 3.0 , a one-step tool to migrate Windows systems to faster solid-state drives (SSDs). This major upgrade allows users to perform system migration to a GPT/uEFI configuration directly under all versions of Windows from XP, onwards including Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Users can continue working with applications during the migration process and are not required to restart the system. In addition, Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 3.0 now offers the option to build a WinPE bootable media to do migrations or fix various boot problems without installing the product.

As PC users seek to take advantage of SSDs’ better access time, read/write speeds, and resistance to physical shock from drops, the challenge becomes moving massive amounts of data, applications and the operating system from the existing hard drive to a smaller SSD. Paragon’s intuitive wizard simplifies the migration process, automatically downsizing the source system volume and providing intelligent selection of specific files when migrating to smaller-capacity drives, and auto-aligning copied system partitions – all without rebooting the system.
