Paragon Software is happy to announces the official launch of Paragon ExtFS for Windows – a special free utility designed to eliminate barriers between Linux and Windows operating systems by granting full read and write access to Ext2/Ext3/Ext4 file systems under all latest Windows versions. With Paragon ExtFS for Windows, you get full read and write access to Linux-formatted partitions, which simplifies data sharing and gives you the ability to transfer files between otherwise incompatible systems. Paragon ExtFS for Windows is a plug-in for Dokan – a file system for Windows. The release ofParagon ExtFS for Windows follows extensive beta testing by thousands of users.

Paragon ExtFS for Windows is based on Paragon’s Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology, the leading cross-platform technology with millions of satisfied end users worldwide. Users and organizations have more mobile device and platform choices today than ever before, with the cross-platform device compatibility imperative rising. Increasing demand by end users to access a wide range of multimedia and data content from portable storage devices of all platforms has prompted Paragon to extend its specialized UFSD technology offerings, which provide full high performance access (read/write, format, etc.) to volumes of the most popular file systems (NTFS, FAT, Ext2/Ext3/Ext4/3FS, etc.) under various platforms (Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, DOS, etc.) where these file systems normally are not supported. Paragon’s driver technology enables any device on the network, from tablets to smartphones to servers, PCs and workstations, regardless of their operating system, to communicate and share files. Beyond access, Paragon’s UFSD technology provides the highest data throughput speeds possible — equivalent to, or exceeding, native performance.
